Rainer W. Schorr

Mr. Rainer W. Schorr, born 1958 in Schwabach, Germany obtained his master in Business Administration and Economics 1985 at the University of Erlangen. He joined Bayer in 1986 as an assistant to the president of the Bayer Group in Central America and the Caribbean in Guatemala. He then occupied different marketing and administrative positions within the company in Germany and Italy. Between 1995 and 1999 he was the Executive Vice President and General Manager for the business units "Lichtpigmente, Zeolithe und Silikatchemikalien" in Brazil. His international career continued in the United States where he was heading the Bayer Polycarbonate division for North America in the position of Senior Vice President. Since 2007 Mr. Schorr is the CEO of Bayer International Fribourg and in addition Senior Bayer Representative for Switzerland.

Giacomo Marchetti

Giacomo Marchetti,  geboren 1959. Nach Abschluss der Berufslehre, Ausbildung im Verkaufsmanagement und Marketing. Im Jahre 1985 Eintritt ins Unternehmen EMS-CHEMIE AG, in verschiedenen Verkaufsfunktionen und der Marktentwicklung Automobil Weltweit tätig. Seit November 2010 in der Funktion als Verkaufsleiter Schweiz.

Anthony Loth

Mr. Loth studied Material Science and has received his engineering degree from INSA Lyon, Science and Technology University, France.
He joined DuPont in 2005 as Development Engineer. Until 2010 he wasTechnical Specialist within Performance Polymers business unit for different engineering polymer resins. Today he is in charge of Flexible Solutions - including Renewably Sourced Materials - as well as Elastomer Lab Supervisor, based in the European Technical Center in Geneva. 

Michael W.L. Braun

Michael W.L. Braun, geboren 1968, ist seit über 20 Jahre im Bereich Maschinenbau für Kunststoffverarbeitung tätig. Für 10 Jahre arbeitete er Weltweit mit einem eigenen Unternehmen als Berater für die Zertifizierung von Anlagen für den Kunststoffbereich und Entwickler von Sondermaschinen und Lösungen. Seit 2009 arbeitet er als Anwendungs- und Verfahrenstechniker im Bereich von Bio Polymer Entwicklung und Vertrieb. Im Oktober 2011 beginnt er als Anwendungs- und Verfahrenstechniker bei der neu gegründeten BioApply Polymers mit Sitz in Gland, wo er weltweit die Aktivitäten mit dem Einsatz und weiter Entwicklung von Bio Polymeren weiterhin betreut. 

Eric Lee

Mr. Lee has received his Bachelor of Science in Composite Materials Engineering from Winona State University in Minnesota, USA. He has been involved in the long fiber reinforced composites business since 1991, first with Ticona and most recently with RTP Company. He has helped shape the strategy for these pioneering companies which have successfully further promoted the use of long fiber reinforced thermoplastics in increasingly complex projects and achieving broader market appeal in many significant market areas including Oil and Gas exploration, Aerospace, and Automotive. Presently Mr. Lee is the Business Manager of Structural Products which includes a broad portfolio of reinforced compounds utilizing both long or short carbon and glass reinforcing fibers. Mr. Lee lives in Minnesota USA with his wife and four daughters.

Markus C. Grob

Markus C. Grob, born 1965, has received his diploma and his PhD from the Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) Zurich, Switzerland. After a stage at DuPont de Nemours in Wilmington (DE), USA, as a visiting research scientist working in the field of highly insulating materials for electronic applications, he started in 1995 in Ciba-Geigy in the Central Research working on conductive and static dissipative plastics and installed a group dealing with permanent surface modification of plastics. In 1999 he moved to the technical service group with the main focus on engineering resins and building and construction applications. After working as Global Marketing Manager Microelectronics for a product range for the high-end photolithography in the Chip production and for MEMS, he has taken over the responsibility for the Application Center for Automotive. Subsequently to the takeover of Ciba by BASF in 2009 he moved to the Product Development Group, where his is actually leading the Group on Extrusion and Specialities with the emphasis to develop new additives for the field of extruded goods and foams.

Marco Lammer

Marco Lammer, geboren 1979 in Singen am Hohentwiel, Deutschland hat an der Fachhochschule Konstanz Maschinenbau Betriebs- und Fertigungstechnik sowie internationaler Vertrieb studiert. Eintritt in die PRIAMUS SYSTEM TECHNOLOGIES AG, Schaffhausen im März 2005 im Bereich techn. Verkauf für die Schweiz und Österreich.
Herr Lammer ist heute Gebietsbereichsverantwortlicher für 15 europäische Länder. Das Tätigkeitsfeld umfasst die Neukundenbetreuung, Angebotserstellung, Projektleitung, Inbetriebnahmen und Service sowie die Betreuung der Vertretungen.

Andreas Niklaus

Andreas Niklaus, geb. 1978, hat an der ETH Zürich Maschinenbau und Verfahrenstechnik studiert.
2004 Eintritt bei der Firma BUSS AG in Pratteln in die Abteilung Verfahrenstechnik.
2004 – 2007 diverse Tätigkeiten im Bereich PVC Compoundieren, danach Wechsel in den Anwendungsbereich Polyolefin Compoundieren und der Kabelanwendungen.
Seit 2008 beschäftigt sich Andreas Niklaus mit der verfahrenstechnischen Umsetzung und Weiterentwicklung der neuen 4 flügeligen MX-Knetertechnologie, sowohl im Technikum als auch bei Inbetriebsetzungen. Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit sind ausgesuchte Anwendungen im Bereich der hochgefüllten (Russ, CaCO3, Flammschutzmittel) Compounds.

Philipp Geisser 

Philipp Geisser, geb. 1954, studierte nach Abschluss seiner Berufslehre als Elektromechaniker berufsbegleitend Elektrotechnik. Von 1980 bis 2007 leitete er die Entwicklungsabteilung der HB-Therm Temperiergeräte. Seither ist er verantwortlich für die Technologie, besonders für Vorentwicklungen, neue Temperiertechniken und Sonderprojekte.

Joachim Meyke

Dipl.-Ing. Joachim Meyke, geboren 1956, studierte Maschinen an der Universität Paderborn, Deutschland. Im Jahr 1985 trat er in das Unternehmen KraussMaffei Berstorff ein und arbeitete 12 Jahre in der Abteilung F+E und später als Abteilungsleiter Schaumextrusion. Von 1997 bis 2003 war er bei Fagerdala World Foams angestellt und verantwortlich für den Aufbau einer neuen Schaumfabrik für PP-Schaum.  2004 kehrte er zu KraussMaffei Berstorff zurück und ist seitdem verantwortlich für die weltweiten Schaumaktivitäten bezüglich physikalischer Verschäumung. Er hält mehrere Patente auf dem Gebiet der Schaumextrusion.

Henrik Kai Hansen

Henrik Kai Hansen was born in 1975 in Denmark and graduated as Export Technician from Copenhagen. After experience from the Automotive and Healthcare industry he in 2000 he joined SABIC Innovative Plastics. Here he has been working as CS representative Nordic, Account Manager, Sales Development Manager and recently as Global key Account Leader. Currently he holds the position as Product Marketing Director Sustainability driving the product portfolio and market awareness of the different sustainable solutions SABIC Innovative Plastics has to offer to the market.

Jean-Marc Boéchat

After graduating as a Microtechnics Engineer in 1979 at the University of Neuchâtel, Professor Boéchat made his first steps in Material Science during his PhD. work in Structural Metallurgy. In 1983, he went to the USA as postdoc for a year at Yale University, New Haven, CT where he worked on Computer Aided Design for microlectronic circuits. In 1984 He moved to the Microlectronic Center of North Carolina, Research Triangle Park, NC to work on material science problems in the microelectronic industry. His special interests where mainly in the electromigration mechanisms. 1986 He came back to Switzerland to work in the Materials Research Department of Ciba-Geigy in Marly, Fr. His work there was mainly in relation with polymer science especially additive, pigment and process related topics. He was responsible also for the microscopy laboratories doing optical, SEM and TEM investigations on all sorts of substrates. In 1998, he started his own company to develop a new approach on the rapid tooling issues for injection molding. Eventually he joined the University of Applied Science in Fribourg as a lecturer in Material Science. Since 2008 he is a full time Professor in Mechanical Engineering at The College of Engineering and Architecture in Fribourg.
